Count devices honestly
Two parents, two children and a shared desktop is easily eight to ten devices once phones and tablets are included. Norton 360 Deluxe, McAfee's higher plans and Bitdefender Total Security are built for that; single-device licences are not.
Parental controls worth using
Content filtering, screen-time limits and activity summaries. Be aware that on iOS and Android the operating systems' own family tools — Screen Time and Family Link — are often more reliable than an antivirus vendor's implementation, and they are free.
